With the running of the new Apple iPhone commercial, the first in what will be a very creative series, you might have to think again before removing iPhone from this list.

The release of the ad marks the second step in the formal launch process that started with Steve Jobs keynote address at Macworld and will end with the actual launch of the iPhone in June of 2007. Apple is clearly pulling telling the world that they intend to pull out all the stops with this ad campaign. Apple is reaching deep into its entertainment contact bag and is planning on using everything in its arsenal to insure the success of the iPhone launch.

The ad grabs your attention from the very start by using a who’s who of Hollywood royalty that has you wanting to watch the ad again just to which of your favorite personalities are in the ad. The ad is also genius in its understatement. Just saying “hello.” There is no hard sell and it is not until the end of the ad until you realize that you are watching an iPhone ad. In thirty seconds Apple has succeeded in linking a brand new product with some of the most beloved personalities and feel good movies from our conscious. And with any good marketing campaign Apple leaves you wanting more.

In the keynote address at Macworld, Steve Jobs let the world know that that Apple was looking to put 10 million iPhone units in service by the end of calendar year 2008. With the buzz that has and is being created with the new iPhone, the goal seems to be well within reach and all signs point to the fact that Apple will soon be a major player in the highly competitive cell phone market.
